His current research is focussed primarily on tobacco control and innovative smoking cessation interventions research (e.g the ASCEND, RELIQ, SONIQ, Te Piri Pohotanga trials) but he also has a wider interest in using rigorous methods (particularly randomised trials) to evaluate the effectiveness and impact of novel interventions on the leading risks to health. She is attached with the Centre of Population and is an associate member of the nicotine group in UMCAS. She is a member of the Malaysian CPG on Tobacco Treatment and the Pictorial Warning review team. She has received a number of awards for her clinical work and presented in local conferences in Malaysia on various aspects of public health. MBBS (Manipal), Master in Public Health (UKM). She is also a member of the Global Dental child Health Task Force based in King’s college of Dentistry, UK; President of the Asian of Academy of Preventive Dentistry, immediate Past President of South East Asia Association for Dental Education and Member of the Malaysian Neuroscience Research initiative tobacco addiction management is an integral pat of clinical dentistry and also an important issue in dental public health. She practices and is a believer in multisectoral management of such problems. B.Sc, DMD, DDS (Padjadjaran); MSD (Indiana); MPH (Michigan); Dr PH (Michigan). He is a consultant psychiatrist (Addiction medicine) and certified smoking cessation specialists. His area of research includes mental health and smoking and; education and tobacco control. He is involved with policy change in Malaysia as a technical expert. M.Psych. Med. (Malaysia), University of Malaya (UM); MBchB (New Zealand) (2002), Otago University, New Zealand.
